i guess my urls can be reclaimed when it hits the "12 months since last edited" duration. i don't really want anything to do with rentry, and that involves not bothering to delete/give away urls, so that's all i can tell you ✌️

Hello!! I'm curious, are you planning to delete /mode resource after you move it to neocities? I'm asking this because it's my favourite resource site and I can't access neocities since my country blocked the site... :cry:

omg i am jelly the last time i've seen a childe cosplayer was in a convention at a mall once outside my city, but anyway to answer the question yes i'll likely delete it. however i'm sure there's a backup on the wayback machine, and it'll probably be over a year(s) before i delete it anyway since the move is gonna take a really long time

Helloo you got the wrong person, I wasn't the one who made /snack. I'm pretty sure that's html and you can easily find a code for a music player online if you search (from w3 schools). I think oomf is the one who made that fluffle, this is doc's atabook host.atabook.org/ if you'd like to ask the creator

I've tried Neocities before, and honestly it's kinda hard for me, so I hope it goes well for u!!! also ive meaning to ask will u be doing an SVG category of some sort? I started to see a lot of rentry users use those cute floaty or running svg and couldn't find it for the life of me

Thank youu!! I was a bit too ambitious with neocities and I am also struggling a bit now LMAO. I'm a little unsure with the SVG you're pertaining to, are those the text SVGs that people are using? Secondly, I am quite excited to see what you do in Neocities. I personally am doing my move to Carrd, but Neocities always seemed like a cool thing to learn... (- -;. HAIHELLO!!! Not weird at all, I remember lurking on discord server months ago (and if i remember the user correctly) i was giggling a lot from your messages about /mode HJSHGFSJ those made my day (yes i searched mentions of my site like a self-obsessed loser cough) was that you who said they were gonna grab my skull 🥺 I also love your resource site /gen. I think it was by far the most helpful and organized collection of other resources I've seen if someone's meaning to dig through a wide number of those. It also made other lesser known but awesome resource sites become discoverable 🎉 Good luck with your move to carrd! I don't mind /mode being listed since i'll be letting its contents stay there until I completely finish putting them all on neocities (which would probably take months to do since I'm lazy). Wishing you peaceful days as well!!

haihai unfortunately! unfortunately(?) (it's a good thing for the long run though) after trying out neocities, i still prefer to move and continue my resource there instead despite the response 🤸‍♂️ /mode will no longer be updated but i'll leave it as it is. on neocities, i'm trying to make a resource site that can work on both PC & mobile. also i like how there's more freedom to customize in there. hopefully it could be more accessible and easier to navigate/organize than my rentry one. it'll be extremely slow before i put that up tho 🐯

i just wanna say good luck with the moving /mode to neocities stuff, im happy to see neocities being used as an alternative :tu: im also trying to work on a neocities, its a personal one instead of a resource site, but its been fun trying to figure things out... i do wiki editing as a hobby, so the html side of things isnt too difficult to me (wikitext even uses some of the same stuff as html like the linebreak tag), but css just felt like I was flying a plane. the last few days i havent really been working on mine haha, just mostly small changes, but i dont mind as i know neocities is more of a never ending project you can just do a bit of work on From time to time. if im gonna be honest, i feel a lot more motivated to work on my neocities as theres no pressure to do it, rentry always felt like something i had to finish right then and there instead of coming back to it at A later time. i think its partly due to there being no claim system or any competition for urls, neocities is a lot more personal and there is no ego to be had with it, its something to do for yourself more than anything and to not care what others think about it or how many views youre getting thats a long winded way to say i just enjoy the personal feeling of neocities, it often doesnt feel like you can tell if someone obviously made something on neocities, which i think shows how much you can do with it :nerd: what happened with rentry really disappointed me, i didnt expect for this to be the outcome when i first found it and im just so disgusted as well by the behavior... i hope for more rentry alternatives to be made and used, a lot of people have just been very negative about the idea before and i never understood it unless the site was actually sketchy this got a bit long #Sorry, i just thought to tell you my thoughts on it since as you saw i was pretty interested in rentry and you did end up following my blog for it, i still dont know what im doing with my blog now but i think ill just be posting general web resources and not use any rentry tags

HIII ELLIOT hi!! sorry for the days late response, not sure why email didn't notify me of this. i'm having fun too especially with more freedom on what you can do with webpages on neocities, albeit html css making my brain hurt and i spend a solid 10 mins trying to find out what about my code is not working LOL. wiki editing is cool, i've always wondered if anyone can edit wiki pages or someone has to be given permission by a mod or someone first 🤔❔ updating my neocities has been inconsistent and slow too. i heavily agree with the less pressure compared to rentry! a url being very public from the demand and the 3 months time limit that'll have it reclaimed if you don't fill it with genuine content immediately lowk kills creativity 😭 i felt like i entered heaven the day i first tried neocities... no caring about the url, just pure site making for the love of the game. was also disappointed with what happened with rentry, but i'm glad that pushed me out of the rentry url decorating which started feeling like some chore i gotta keep up with and burned me out. same here i will still continue posting web graphics during my free time!! i'm really happy that pixels/borders/dividers/etc can still be used a lot on neocities/nekoweb, and even more there with less limitations. i've also figured i don't have to make complicated ambitious website projects on neocities, and can format it like an average rentry pastebin style if i want to make simple short-term ones. good luck with your sites as well :cheers:
